Easy Baked Parmesan Asparagus

Hope your Tuesday is going well so far! Ours is going great because it is our 3 year wedding anniversary!! Our Mexico vacation was our present to each other so we had a nice relaxing evening at home. Dinner, dessert and red wine…good way to spend a Tuesday!



Our wedding was such a special day for us. We had the time of our lives surrounded by the most amazing friends and family! Can we do it again?!?



For dinner I made baked chicken and asparagus. Levi and I love asparagus so much! And this is our favorite way to have it. You can bake it or grill it depending on what you prefer or the time of year. The parmesan adds a bold kick so feel free to leave it off if you aren’t a fan.


1 Bunch of Asparagus

2 Tbsp Olive Oil

2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese

Black Pepper

Onion Powder

Garlic Powder

Seasoned Salt (Table or Sea Salt would work too)

Cooking/Baking Spray-We use olive oil baking spray

Preheated Oven to 400 Degrees


Wash the asparagus with cold water and then break off the bottom of the stalk. It should break where it starts to ripen. After that place the washed asparagus on a baking sheet covered with foil and sprayed with baking spray (we ran out of foil or normally I would).

Next drizzle the olive oil on the asparagus. Then sprinkle the pepper, garlic and onion powders, and season salt on the asparagus. I don’t measure but a light sprinkle on it will be good! I always go lighter on the salt and heavier on the other spices.

After that, take the parmesan and sprinkle it evenly over the asparagus. Once it is all on, then take the asparagus and roll it around to fully coat it with everything and to help distribute the seasonings.

After that, put it in the oven at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes. I usually flip mine about half way through. We like ours a little crispy when it’s done, so we usually do 20-21 minutes depending on the size of it. If you like yours a little more firm, shorten the time by a couple of minutes.

Asparagus shrinks up quite a bit so this usually feeds the two of us. If you are looking to feed more, I would double the recipe!
