Favorite Books Lately

Happy Thursday! This week has been rough but today was way better. It is always hard to come back from vacation and catch up on everything you missed while trying to not fall behind on other things. I am so happy tomorrow is Friday and I am looking forward to the weekend! It should be a good mix of fun, relaxation and being productive. Hopefully your week was better than mine.

Last week I was able to read a couple books poolside while on vacation. I only brought one book with me but flew threw it because I loved it so much. The other one was off the shelf from the book case at the resort. It was really random and not my favorite but I still finished.

I generally tend to like suspense/thriller books. Books like Girl on the Train are right up my alley so the ones below are similar if you are into those. I always love getting book recommendations from friends so I thought a post on the books I have loved recently would be fun!

In A Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware

This is the book I read on vacation. There is a fun twist to this and Ruth Ware’s writing is easy to fly through. I really enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down.

Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter

Pretty Girls is by far my favorite on the list!! Actually it is probably one of my favorite books ever. I think I read it in two days and haven’t stopped raving about it since. I have had a couple of friends read it who have felt the same. You really root for the sisters in the book. Go get it now! 🙂

The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson

This book has so many plot twists and I love that about it. It is a fun read and it keeps you guessing until the very end!

The Good Girl by Mary Kubica

The Good Girl is an easy and fun read. I like Kubica’s writing style and I felt like I was in the book!

The Girl Before by Rina Olsen

I picked this book up at Target and just read the back cover. It wasn’t what I expected at all but I still really liked it. It hops back and forth between the past and present so can be a tad confusing at times but still definitely worth the read!

Now I am off to enjoy a glass of wine and start on a new book. I am reading Lacy Eye by Jessica Treadway next. I will let you know how it goes!

Question of the day: Comment with your favorite books! I am always looking for good reads!
