Hello and Happy Sunday!! How has your weekend been treating you? I had a fabulous weekend. It was the perfect mix of productive and fun!
Thursday we went to a new lunch spot called McLain’s Market. It was gorgeous out and we sat outside. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with their house made chips for my side. It all tasted really fresh. I got the sandwich dressing on the side so my sandwich was a little dry but still good! The bread is baked in-house and is really thick so I only had half but ate all the fries 🙂
Friday started out with a workout bright and early before work. Fridays are always the easiest to get up for my workouts because I am usually excited for the weekend. I did cardio and arms. I got caught up on RHONJ so it flew by!
On Fridays I work from home so on my lunch break, I took the dogs to the dog park. It is an off leash dog park located next to a lake and they LOVE it. There is a trail that loops around half of it and we always walk it.
I love being there during the fall and winter because you can see the lake through the trees!
Friday after work I started dragging out the Christmas decorations. I love the holiday season so much. And no I am not someone who is trying to RUSH it. I just love the lights, smells, decorations and movies so much, that I want to be able to enjoy them for as long as I can! I got a lot of the decorations up and our KU tree is done in the dining room. We still need to do our bigger tree and once that’s done, I will post some pictures.
Saturday morning I met my friend Pam at the gym for spin class. I hadn’t been to a spin class in several weeks and they had reformatted the class a bit and it was sooo hard. It kicked my butt and I am still sore! We have plans to go next week too so hopefully it is a tad easier 🙂
Every year I go to Holiday Boutique with my good friend Ashlee (who I work with as well). The last two years we have gone with our friend Tayla too! Holiday Boutique is a giant shopping event at the convention center and boutiques and vendors set up stands. We drink champagne, sample festive foods, and try on cute clothes. We don’t actually accomplish much Christmas shopping for others but we always have fun!!
Saturday night, Levi and I stayed in and had a relaxing night on the couch. We watched Deadpool for the second time and I still loved it. I have a sarcastic sense of humor so it’s right up my alley.
Sunday morning began with breakfast made by Levi. It was a really good egg scramble with bacon! I then did some cleaning and more decorating. For lunch I headed to Lawrence to visit one of my best friends, Stephanie, and her little girl Berkley. We went to lunch and caught up on everything! It was awesome to see her and her little girl. She is too cute!!
The rest of Sunday was spent cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking dinner. I made chicken taco soup and have plenty of leftovers for lunch! So good and so easy!
Oh one more fun thing…my Marc Fisher Over The Knee Boots arrived that I ordered last week and I am obsessed with them. The color is called taupe and it is the perfect neutral boot and is really comfortable. I will be wearing them all fall! They have them in wide calf too!!
Well I am off to bed so I hope you all have an amazing week! Talk to you soon!
